Mia Larson is an accessory designer with a brutalist-oriented aesthetic, currently based in Savannah, Georgia. Larson’s work provides an unorthodox approach to luxury goods by utilizing unconventional materials in an upscale fashion as a method of juxtaposing the concept of an accessory. She finds beauty and meaning in the unknown and disregarded elements, projecting this mystic quality within her work. Based on the designer’s choice of material and natural methods of treating leather, one can find harmony, as well as a sense of freedom and disassociation from a structured society. Larson pays close attention to the beauty of decomposition and imperfection within various species and elements on this earth. Currently, celebrating her eccentric concepts under the name Son of Lars.
